A Spectacular Spectator Event

"I would like to thank all those responsible for putting on this great event. I have been to Ashton for the race before years ago, and enjoyed the different events. This year I brought my 10 year old niece and 8 year old son to watch and participate. They both entered the Mutt race. My niece had a small dog to enter and my son our golden retriever and our own sled. After Dervish (the Parson Russell Terrier) pulled her heart out to place 3rd in the 15 lbs and under, I accidentally locked my car keys along with both dogs, harness, lines, etc. inside my car. The fun could certainly have ended there if not for all of the wonderful volunteers and mushers who offered their dogs and to the handlers who ran those 50 yards over and over again, those kids both got to ride a sled and had a great time! Thank you!"

Sincerely,
Nan Stinson
